Student Speaker

The student speaker receives the honor of delivering the commencement address. Only graduating students are eligible to nominate and vote for the student speaker.

Nominations for this award will open on March 6 through March 15, 2013.

 

Eligibility, nominations, and voting

Only graduating students are eligible to speak at commencement, and only graduating students are allowed to vote for the student speaker. Nominations are conducted online and are due March 15. If you are nominating yourself, include a paragraph about the intended topic of your speech. Outlines of nominees' proposed topics will be available online and in the student lounge prior to the vote. Voting will take place online between March 25 and 31, 2013..
