Lynne Schuman

Biography

As director of career services, I work with current students and graduates to support their career development. I also post job, internship, and assistantship opportunities. I can provide career search resources, including information about workshops, career fairs, and career information sessions. While developing employer relations, I work to advertise Humphrey students as potential employees to various organizations. I also oversee the the graduate and undergraduate internship programs.

I have worked for more than 10 years in university-level academic advising and college teaching. I have been honored three times by Humphrey students as the recipient of the Jim Jernberg Award for the improvement of student life. In 1994 I was the recipient of the Annual Achievement Award from the Minnesota Chapter of the American Society of Public Administration.

I earned an M.A. in political science from the University of Minnesota in 1976.
