Jim Seifert is vice president and secretary and general counsel for Bemis Corporation, a worldwide supplier of flexible packaging and pressure sensitive materials used by leading food, consumer products, and manufacturing companies. His expertise is in domestic and cross-border transactions, sophisticated financing, intellectual property, litigation and risk management, and compliance activities related to public company status (SOX, ethics, governance, SEC, NYSE).
Seifert is recognized nationally for innovative approaches to resolving litigation outside the traditional litigation process. He is a contributing author to ADR Law and Practice and speaks and writes frequently in the United States and Japan on litigation cost-reduction initiatives. He is a former clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Porter and served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1999 to 2001.
Seifert is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Creighton University, and the University of St. Thomas.
