Business and policy communications strategy, market and brand research
Dave Richardson is a business and industry leader whose professional research training has most often been used to apply research to communications strategy on business and policy questions. Prior to starting Artemis Strategy Group in 2006, Richardson was president of WirthlinWorldwide and then group president of Harris Interactive when it acquired WirthlinWorldwide in 2004. He was part of the team that built WirthlinWorldwide into one of the largest and most respected brand research and strategy advisors to major corporations, associations, and nonprofit organizations around the world.
Richardson has a long-term interest and involvement in public policy and its intersection with the private sector. That interest goes back to early years as vice president at Yankelovich, Skelly & White, Inc. and as a manager for Mathematica Policy Research focusing on social policy research studies. His professional background also includes a stint as vice president and director of marketing research at Bank of America, responsible for retail and corporate marketing, product, service and communications research.
Richardson has a bachelor's degree from Yale University and a master of public affairs degree from the University of Minnesota's Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
Richardson is a board member and current board chairman of the Virginia Veterans Services Foundation, sponsor of the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program. He was a board member of CASRO, the research industry trade association, and served as board chairman in 2005.
