    Ms. Kalpana Rajsinghot is joint secretary at the Union Public Service Commission, a constitutional recruitment body for all senior and middle management positions in the Government of India and its Union Territories. She oversees recruitment, initiates policies and structural reforms, and manages the development and maintenance of a database of national experts. She is the project leader for the online recruitment application system, with responsibility for project conceptualization, planning, design, and implementation. Previous to serving in this role, Ms. Rajsinghot worked in various positions with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. She also was nominated by the UNDP and Government of India as one of the two-member Indian delegation to Afghanistan to study civil service administrative reforms being carried out there. She holds a master’s degree in science specializing in cytogenetics from Bangalore University and a master’s degree in economics from Indira Gandhi National Open University. During her fellowship year, Ms. Rajsinghot will pursue a Master of Public Affairs degree.
