	Dean Eric Schwartz Joins Humphrey School Today Minneapolis, MN (10/12/11) - Dean Eric Schwartz joins the Humphrey School of Public Affairs today, coming from a post as assistant secretary in the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration at the U.S. Department of State. Schwartz was named dean of the School in June, his candidacy having received strong and consistent support from faculty members, students, staff, alumni, and Minnesota’s public affairs and planning community.

	Humphrey School Announces Oberstar Scholarship at the University of Minnesota Minneapolis, MN (09.19.11) - The University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs announced today that it has created the James L. Oberstar Fellowship, with the support of Minnesota Forest Industries. Beginning with the 2011-2012 academic year, a $10,000 scholarship will be awarded each year to a Humphrey School student. Congressman Oberstar is chairman of the advisory board at the Humphrey School's Center for Excellence in Rural Safety.
