| Humphrey Institute will co-host conference on nonprofit leadership July 24
The Public and Nonprofit
Leadership Center at the Humphrey Institute and the Minnesota
Council of Nonprofits (MCN) will co-sponsor a conference on "Leadership:
Strengthening Organizations and Communities" from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday,
July 24, at the Humphrey Institute, 301 19th Ave. S., Minneapolis.
Designed for nonprofit leaders and volunteers, the conference will include
plenary and breakout sessions on such topics as styles of leadership, nonprofit
careers, and leadership demands of the future. Featured speakers include Emmett
Carson, president and CEO of the Minneapolis Foundation, Jim Krile, director
of community leadership at the Blandin Foundation, Jon Pratt, executive director
of the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, and Jodi Sandfort, associate professor
at the Humphrey Institute.
The registration fee is $100 for MCN members/$150 for non-members. Scholarship
