Humphrey School Video Tour

Shanae Phillips is a Master of Public Policy student with a concentration in social policy. Her passion is helping others enjoy the benefits of higher education: " When I graduate, I'd like to work for a nonprofit that strives to close the achievement gap in Minnesota. I am particularly interested in working with middle and high school students of color to increase rates of access and retention in institutions of higher learning."

Shanae enjoys the close community at the Humphrey School, as well as the breadth of opportunities that a major research university provides. Originally from Cameron, Wisconsin, (population 1,697), she loves the diversity and vibrancy of the Twin Cities and she even embraces the Minnesota winters—in front of the TV or a fireplace with a mug of hot chocolate.
