Your Internet ID and password allows you to login to several online University services and tools, such as wireless Internet, e-mail, class registration and grades, UMCal, and myU, to name just a few.
New students must initiate their Internet ID before they can use it.

Internet IDs are supported by the central University department called Office of Information Technology (OIT), and HHH-ITS is unable to access these accounts, so you will be referred to OIT for assistance. Any questions regarding your Internet ID should be directed to 1-HELP (612-301-4357).

Your Humphrey School Computer Account allows you to access the Humphrey School computer labs, printers, and network space. This account uses your Internet ID and password to login to Humphrey School computers. If you do not have your Internet ID or password, please follow the instructions above for Internet IDs.
If you are unable to access the computers at the Humphrey School, but have your Internet ID and password contact HHH-ITS. HHH-ITS can be reached via email compstaff@umn.edu, phone 612-626-9235, or stop by Humphrey Center 281 between 8:30a - 4:30p M-F.
Enabling your Humphrey School Computer Account
If you meet the above eligibility requirements below and have received your Internet ID and password, please follow the following procedure to get your account activated to access the Humphrey computer labs.
- Login to http://www.umn.edu/myaccount with your internet id and password
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and
click on the "Active Directory
Account Options" link at the bottom of the page and follow the instructions. If no such link appears, stop and email compstaff@umn.edu and include your Internet ID. Different instructions will be sent to you.
- If you are admitted for fall semester and register for fall classes, your account will be setup in mid-August with no more action on your part after completing steps 1 & 2. All other students should email compstaff@umn.edu once steps 1 & 2 are complete.
Computer Account Eligibility
All HHH students admitted for a future term, enrolled in the current term up to the start of the next regular term, or enrolled in any future term are eligible for an HHH computer account. All non-HHH students that enroll in a PA class are eligible for an HHH computer account during the term of enrollment.
For example, If you last registered for Spring 08 your account will continue until the beginning of Fall 08. If you last registered for Fall 08 your account will continue until the beginning of Spring 09.
Students who require access to the Humphrey School computer labs after graduation must request approval from the Humphrey School Career Services Office.
