| CONNECTING TO THE PRINT SERVER
The following instructions are for connecting to the print server from a Non-Humphrey Computer. If you are on a Humphrey Computer and need to install an additional printer go to the Log in to the Print Server section. It will not ask for your user name and password.
Start the VPN Connection
Start>All Programs>Cisco> Click VPN Client
Click Connect
Enter your x.500 username and password when prompted.
Login to Print Server
Click start, select 'Run'
Enter in: \\hhh-print-01.ad.umn.edu
Login with
username: UMN.EDU\<x.500 username>
password: <x.500 password>
It's IMPORTANT that you include UMN.EDU\ before your x.500 and that UMN.EDU is in ALL CAPS! Otherwise your username will be refused.
Adding and Using Your Printer
Double click the printer you'd like to use. You may receive a message asking if you trust the server. Click Yes.
There will be a short pause while the computer downloads the printer driver.
Once completed, you will be able to select the printer from your applications.
