HOST FAMILY PROGRAM Eliana Silva and Julie Warner

The International Fellowship Programs Office of the Humphrey Institute is proud of its longstanding tradition of engaging community members as host families for international Fellows.

The mission of the host family program is two-fold: To assist the International Fellows in adjusting to life in the United States and Minnesota and to provide an opportunity for cultural sharing between the host families, the community, and the International Fellows.

All International Fellows at the Humphrey Institute are provided with personal apartments during their fellowship year. Thus, Fellows do not live with their host families, although they frequently join families in cultural and social events, holidays, and vacations.

If you are interested in hosting an International Fellow, please contact our office at ifp@umn.edu.
