The International Fellowship Programs is proud of its alumni from all over the world, which grows every year as we welcome new fellows to our program. After the completion of their fellowship, our fellows return home and continue their work as effective agents of social and political change. We are very proud of our alumni and the amazing work they continue to do in their communities. We dedicate this page to highlight their achievements both personal and professional.

It's a Girl!!!
Our current fellow, Ms. Fernanda Tounou-Akue and her husband Ferdinand welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Blessing Folly on December 6th, 2011. Blessing is the 6th member of the Tounou-Akue family. We wish the proud parents all the happiness and joy.


Humphrey School signs a MOU with People's Republic of Korea
On 11/28/11 our 2009 - 2010 Fellow from South Korea, Mr. Moojo Son, Deputy Director of Training and Education Division at the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and the director of his program Mr. Hakyun Kim signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Humphrey School and the South Korean Government that will bring mid-career civil servants to pursue Master of Public Affairs degree

Rashmi Singh receives the 2011 Distinguished Leadership Award for Internationals (DLAI)
Ms. Rashmi Singh was selected by the Indian Ministry of Personnel and Training to attend the Humphrey School of Public Affairs for a Masters in Public Affairs degree in 2007. She recently visited the Humphrey School as a fellow of the Center for Integrative Leadership and to accept her Distinguished Leadership Award for Internationals (DLAI) for her leadership role in heading a unique initiative of Delhi Government called Mission Convergence. Mission Convergence is a world model for cross-sector collaboration that seeks to strike the right balance between various government departments, Community Based Organizations and the people by bringing in major reforms in governance for empowerment of the vulnerable population of Delhi.

Congratulations Chunn on your cute little bundle of joy!!

The IFP program has extended a new branch on its family tree, our 2008 - 2009 Fellow from Cambodia, Chunn Singha and his wife Soravuth welcomed a beautiful and healthy baby boy, Hubert Soravuth Singha on 09/09/2011.
We are very ecstatic to share this happiness with the proud parents.

Rosana DLAI

 

Our 2008 - 2009 fellow Rosana D.H. Schaack receives the 2010 Distinguished Leadership Award for Internationals (DLAI)

Ms. Rosana Schaack was awarded the prestigious DLAI award from the University of Minnesota’s Global programs and Strategy Alliance for her role as a public servant, her work to empower the poorest of the poor, and her mission to bring hope to those who need it most. She has made many invaluable contributions to Liberians as a leader, service provider and mentor. She has been a passionate voice for justice for the young women and children of emerging Liberia. She has dedicated her future to fight against gender-based violence and is held in the highest regard in her community and in civil society networks in Liberia and abroad.
She was the commencement speaker for the graduation ceremony of our 2010 - 2011 cohort of IFP fellows and received her own DLAI plaque during the ceremony. During her brief visit at the University early this year, she also addressed students, faculty, staff, and community members of the Humphrey Institute on the topic of War: Its Legacy on Women & Children in Liberia.
