The third-oldest public affairs program in the country, the Humphrey School has experienced a decade of steady growth in program expansion, student enrollment and graduation, research excellence, and national reputation. The School ranks as the country's 6th best public affairs school at a public university and has garnered national and international media attention.

Dean's Strategic Initiative Fund

There is never a shortage of good ideas at the Humphrey School. Unfortunately, only a select few of these ideas can be realized through the School's annual budget. Unrestricted dollars allow the dean to incubate new programs, provide seed money for new ideas, and reward faculty members and staff for innovation at his discretion.

The Humphrey School is fortunate to have a strong financial foundation and sound fiscal management. Unfortunately, endowment losses and declining state support mean that our future strength now more than ever depends on increased private investment.
