The Nonprofit Management Certificate can be designed to fit your needs, whether you want to enhance your abilities or gain new skills to advance your career. You can design the certificate by focusing on one of the following areas of emphasis:
Minnesota is home to a vibrant community of nonprofit organizations. As the nonprofit sector continues to grow, so do the opportunities for exciting and challenging careers in nonprofit management. Jobs in the nonprofit sector vary by title and duties, with more growth opportunities available in larger organizations. For more information about careers in nonprofit management, visit Minnesota Council of Nonprofits and Minnesota Council on Foundations.
The Nonprofit Management Certificate may be used in the Master of Liberal Studies degree and the Master of Public Affairs through the Humphrey School, if all the admission requirements for the Nonprofit Management Certificate program are met (contact an adviser for the degree program for more information). You may transfer up to 12 credits taken at the certificate tuition rate; additional credits necessary to complete the degree must be taken at the full graduate tuition rate.
