Although face-to-face classroom time is less frequent, students 'stay connected’ to others through regular on-line chats, assignments, readings, and discussions. Monthly meetings from Friday afternoon to Saturday afternoon enable the majority of students to complete either the PAL or MPA while continuing full-time employment.
Establishing a strong sense of community, students in the hybrid program complete the 12 credit requirements with the same peer cohort. All 12 credits must be completed in the hybrid format; students do not have the option to move between the hybrid and traditional programs.
The hybrid program enables you to be part of the Humphrey community, even when you're not physically present Students in the hybrid model will benefit from:
Introductory Week:
Introductory week meets daily
8:30–4:30.
Weekend Sessions:
Weekend sessions meet Fridays 10:00–4:30, and Saturdays 8:30-4:30.
Completion of the hybrid program can lead to the 12-credit Public Affairs Leadership Certificate or apply towards the Master of Public Affairs.
