Young Women's Leadership Award

The Humphrey School’s Young Women’s Leadership Award honors organizations that have made a demonstrated commitment to advancing the leadership of young women ages 25-35 in Minnesota.  Nominations must show how the organization has cultivated young women’s leadership through programming for young women, involving young women throughout the organization at all levels from staff to board, and declaring its deep commitment to young women’s leadership through its mission statement and publications.  Award criteria include:

The composition of the organization’s staff, board of directors, and volunteers

Activities and programs tailored to meet the needs and interests of young women

Pricing at programs and events so that young women can participate by discounting tickets or allowing them to volunteer in lieu of paying full price

Demonstrating through actions that mentoring of young women is a priority.

Internally and externally articulating a commitment to young women’s leadership through the mission statement, website, and other publications
