| Ready to Run
The Center on Women and Public Policy, in collaboration with the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University held the first Ready to Run event August 26th and 27th 2005. This training and networking opporutnity provided college and university women students, policy fellows, alumni and friends the confidence, training, and encouragement to get involved in Minnesota politics.
Those in attendance caught up with Sally, reunited with HHH classmates from years past, met young women in the Twin Cities with similar political and activist interests, enjoyed great food, and were inspired by women leaders in the state of Minnesota.
The two day program included networking and inspiring words from women leaders in Minnesota politics. In addition, attendees heard guidance from political consultants and political scientists, and attended a networking lunch with progressive women candidates running for office in 2005 & 2006.
