The Center holds public lectures and seminars on pressing policy issues such as the politics of breast cancer and policies for healthy women, families, and workplaces; convenes women state legislators for retreats; and brings together executive directors of feminist nonprofit organizations to facilitate the creation of stronger feminist networks.

Outreach
Minneapolis boasts a thriving feminist community and active women's network. The city is home to the first battered women's shelter, one of the longest running independent women's bookstores, a biweekly women's newspaper, a feminist PAC, and the Minnesota Women's Consortium.
