| Susan Maushart
Columnist, author and social commentator Dr. Susan Maushart has worked as a communications consultant, television news reporter, stand-up comedy writer, and freelance wife. She is the author of three books (Sort of a Place Like Home, The Mask of Motherhood, and Wifework) and three children. Her essays and reviews have appeared in a host of international publications, and she writes a weekly column in the Weekend Australian Magazine. A senior research fellow in the faculty of media, society, and culture at Curtin University, she currently is writing a book about women and happiness titled What Women Want Next. Maushart holds a Ph.D. in communication arts and sciences from New York University.
