Dwenda Gjerdingen

Dwenda Gjerdingen, MD, MS, is a professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota. As a family physician, educator, and researcher, she has provided primary care to hundreds of obstetrical patients and their families, taught obstetrical and perinatal principles to numerous medical students and residents, and served as principal investigator on several postpartum research studies. The results of these studies have yielded important information about the physical, mental, and social changes that parents experience after childbirth, and the factors that influence their health and employment.
