Charles Oberg

Charles N. Oberg, MD, is the chair of the Maternal and Child Health Program at the University of Minnesota's School of Public Health. In addition, he is an associate professor of pediatrics and public health at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Oberg is particularly interested in health disparities and access to care for underserved populations. Oberg previously served as the chief of pediatrics at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) and the medical director of HCMC's Stewart B. McKinney Health Care for the Homeless Program. Oberg's research is focused on social policies affecting children, and he has served on numerous national committees dealing with public policy, ethics, and children's issues. Oberg is a renowned clinician, educator, and author.
