| INITIATIVE FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT (IREE)
IREE's mission is to promote statewide economic development, sustainable, healthy, and diverse ecosystems, and national energy security through the development of bio-based and other renewable resources and processes. The center's staff and students are involved in IREE. The Director of the center serves on the executive committee and the Associate Director of the center is on IREE's faculty working group.

| Institute on the Environment
As the gateway to and the link between “all things environmental” at the University of Minnesota, the Institute is discovering solutions and delivering results to the region, the nation and the world.
The Institute’s research is organized around a set of overarching themes, themes that will change over time as solutions to existing problems are found and new challenges arise. The current themes are: Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation, Renewable Energy and the Environment, Landscapes and Watersheds, and Human and Ecosystem Health. |

The Consortium on Law and Values
Founded in 2000, the Consortium builds on the strengths of University centers and programs, establishing the University of Minnesota as a leading institution working on law and values in health, the life sciences, and the environment.
The mission of the Consortium is to support work on the legal, ethical, and policy implications of problems in health, environment, and the life sciences. Our goal is to advance knowledge, public understanding, and sound policy. We |

The Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy works locally and globally at the intersection of policy and practice to ensure fair and sustainable food, farm and trade systems. |

The Interim Director serves on the BioBusiness Alliance of Minnesota which co-hosts several meetings across Minnesota to increase awareness of the biosciences.
