Water, Culture and the Public: A Participatory Exploration
Notes and Presentations Speakers Contacts

On April 20 & 21, 2009, CSTPP and Science Museum Hosted a Unique Program on Water Policy Issues

The Science Museum of Minnesota (SMM) is hosting Water, a major exhibition on the beauty, fragility and essential nature of water in our lives and all life on Earth. In conjunction with this exhibit, the Center for Science, Technology and Public Policy and the Science Museum of Minnesota hosted a two-part participatory event that engaged community members, scientists, designers, and policymakers on critical issues of water supply and quality.

Participants will addressed future challenges of water scarcity and degradation, and then craft action steps to create a positive agenda for water in Minnesota.

This event is also in partnership with the following University of Minnesota units: Water Resources Center, University of Minnesota, The Center for Freshwater Research & Policy Center, The Department of Landscape Architecture.

It is co-sponsored by the: Freshwater Society and the Citizens League
