FHWA Congestion Pricing - The Congestion Pricing Pilot (VPP) program, initially authorized in the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act (ISTEA) as the Congestion Pricing Pilot Program, encourages implementation and evaluation of congestion pricing pilot projects to manage congestion on highways through tolling and other pricing mechanisms.

91 Express Lanes - The 91 Express Lanes is a four-lane, 10-mile toll road built in the median of California's Riverside Freeway (State Route 91) between the Orange/Riverside County line and the Costa Mesa Freeway (State Route 55).

LeeWay - Lee County's (Florida) Electronic Toll Collection system. LeeWay operates using an electronic transponder that is installed on the windshield inside your vehicle.

Federal Highway Administration

It All Adds Up to Cleaner Air - At the request of state and local transportation and air quality agencies, the Federal Highway Administration, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and Federal Transit Administration have developed television, radio, and print ads to raise public awareness of the connection between their transportation choices, traffic congestion, and air quality. Informed citizens, elected officials, and other community leaders are more likely to support proposed transportation solutions to these issues, such as congestion pricing.

InnovativeFinance.org - an Internet-based clearinghouse providing information on innovations in all areas of surface transportation finance. It has been created with research monies provided by the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) as a service to all involved in financing transport infrastructure. InnovativeFinance.org offers information on federal, state, local, and private funding of highways, passenger rail and bus systems, intermodal links, intelligent transportation systems, and other related facilities, with an emphasis on innovative alternatives to traditional funding methods.

Urban Mobility Study - Texas Transportation Institute's Urban Mobility Study with facts about congestion in major metro areas.

Urban Transport Pricing in Europe - Urban Transport Pricing is currently a key theme in European transport policy. Pricing road use by time, place and distance of travel offers planners and politicians a powerful tool for reducing urban road traffic. The benefits are cleaner, safer, quieter cities, with more efficient transport networks for all travelers. The European Commission has funded a number of projects in the area of transport pricing, in order explore the technical, financial, operational, political and social issues associated with implementing road pricing projects. Stockholm program main page -- On 2 June 2003, the Stockholm City Council adopted a majority proposal to conduct congestion charges trials. The formal decision on implementation was made through the Riksdag (Swedish Parliament) passing the Congestion Charges Act on 16 June 2004. The trials start on 22 August 2005 with extended public transport. On 3 January 2006 the congestion charges start. The trials will be concluded by 31 July 2006. A referendum on the permanent implementation of congestion charges will be held in conjunction with the general election on 17 September 2006.

AutoPASS is an electronic toll collection system used in Norway. It allows collecting road tolls automatically from cars, using electronic radio transmitters and receivers.

Land Transport Authority - LTA  is a statutory board under Singapore Government's Ministry of Transport, that spearheads land transport developments in Singapore.
