Congestion Pricing

This site informs users about the state of the practice. It contains links to U.S. projects in addition to those sponsored by the Congestion Pricing Pilot Project, links to international projects, congestion pricing related videos, archives the congestion pricing listserv, and more. There are two additional sites with substantial congestion pricing information.

This web site was developed and is maintained by the State and Local Policy Program, which is part of the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. Funding for development and maintenance was provided by the Federal Highway Administration Congestion Pricing Program, with additional funding provided by the Minnesota Department of Transportation.


FHWA (Federal Highways Administration) Congestion Pricing Site
This site provides information regarding tolling and pricing programs and provisions available under the Federal-Aid Highway Act, following enactment of SAFETEA-LU. All federal involvement in pricing program can be found here, including governmental publications, regulations, and programs.

TRB (Transportation Research Board) Congestion Pricing Site
This site serves as the primary gateway to the organization, activities, partnerships, and research of the TRB Congestion Pricing Committee (ABE25). An officially sanctioned web resource by TRB, the site features current news, past meeting minutes, future meeting agendas, and research papers.

The Federal Highway Administration released Congestion Pricing: A Primer in 2006, which serves as an excellent overview of the subject.
