The next Monthly Regional Planning and Policy Brown Bag Forum is Ron Thomas, Executive Director of the Northeast Illinois Planning Commission. He will be speaking in Cowles from 4:30-6:00 on Monday, April 9, on the subject of Geospatial Technology for planning in the Chicago area.

MnPass Evaluation Attitudinal Panel Survey Wave 3, Final Report is now available.

SLPP releases Congestion Pricing reports: Pricing Experience in Northern Europe: Lessons Learned and Applicability to Minnesota and the United States and Minnesota Congestion Pricing Outreach and Education Final Report.

Gary Barnes presented two papers at the Transportation Research Forum (TRF) annual meeting in New York.

Recent Reports and Events

Kevin Krizek, Gavin Poindexter, Ahmed El-Geneidy, and Edward Sanderson have published The Safety of Pedestrian and Bicycle Travel in Minnesota: Inventory, Analysis and Prospectus.

SLPP contributed papers on several interesting topics to the National Academies' Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting on January 22nd-26th, 2006. Papers, presentations, and posters are now available for download.

SLPP Director Lee Munnich helped lead several events and presentations about congestion pricing at TRB.

Selected Past Reports and Events

Two SLPP reports have recently been posted to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) web site.

In October 2005, SLPP published the final report from the Conference on Knowledge Clusters and Entrepreneurship in Regional Economic Development.

In September 2004 SLPP brought together leading academics, policymakers, practitioners and financiers at the Conference on Knowledge Clusters and Entrepreneurship in Regional Economic Development. The agenda and speaker bios from the conference are also available.
