Master of Public Affairs Program
The Master of Public Affairs for mid-career professionals is the Humphrey Institute’s newest degree program and can be completed in one calendar year of full-time enrollment. Established in 1999, the core curriculum emphasizes leadership and policymaking theory and practice, and students design their own area of concentration around their career interests. Dual Degree - Master of Public Policy/Master of
Business Administration
This dual degree—Master of Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management (MBA) and MPP Program—is available in fall 2008. Students may begin in either the MBA or MPP program, enrolling year two in the opposite program, and year three in one semester in each program. Nonprofit Management Post-Baccalaureate
Certificate
Through the University of Minnesota Graduate School, the College of Continuing Education offers an academic certificate program for current nonprofit managers and executives enabling them to earn a University of Minnesota Graduate School Certificate. The PNLC provides lead faculty and courses for the program in collaboration with other university units.
Certificate in Nonprofit Management, College of Continuing Education
This post-baccalaureate certificate consists of 21 credits, seven in core courses and 14 in electives. Students learn the importance of leadership and communication and develop confidence in effective leadership and management skills, financial knowledge, nonprofit governance, and organizational strategic planning. Undergraduate Leadership Minor, College of Education and Human Development
The undergraduate leadership minor is a 16-credit interdisciplinary program that helps students understand and experience multiple frameworks of leadership, developing leadership and social change skills. This minor is a collaborative effort of the Department of Educational Policy and Administration (EdPA), the Humphrey Institute, and the Office for Student Affairs.
