Congressman Jim RamstadJim Ramstad is a member of the United States House of Representatives, first elected to represent the Third District of Minnesota in 1990. Congressman Ramstad serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, Health Subcommittee, and Oversight Committee. Ramstad also co-chairs the Addiction Treatment and Recovery Caucus, as well as the Bipartisan Disabilities Caucus, Law Enforcement Caucus and Medical Technology Caucus. Prior to his election to Congress, Ramstad served three terms in the Minnesota Senate, where he was assistant minority leader. In addition to elected office, Congressman Ramstad served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a former criminal justice attorney and adjunct professor of government and Constitutional law. Ramstad holds degrees from the University of Minnesota and George Washington University.
