The Center for Integrative Leadership at the University of Minnesota aims to develop a better understanding of how collective action across sectors (business, government, nonprofits, media, academia) and geographic boundaries can solve some of the world’s most pressing and complex societal problems. It is a cooperative undertaking of the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs and the Carlson School of Management.

We face enormous challenges in addressing new and continuing public health crises. Internationally renowned *leadership expert Ronald Heifetz joined the center for a spirited conversation *about using adaptive leadership techniques to effectively tackle today's public health challenges. Co sponsored with the Center for the Study of Politics and Governance, Ron Heifetz, the King Hussein bin Talal Senior Lecturer in Public Leadership and the founding director of the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, known for his teaching of leadership and research on how to build adaptive capacity in societies, businesses, and nonprofits, was joined by panelists Jan Malcolm, CEO, Courage Center, and Jay Kiedrowski, Board member for UCare Minnesota; Senior Fellow at the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs; and Academic Co-director, Center for Integrative Leadership.
