Values:
We believe that…
each job seeker has multiple career options.
Job seekers will make their best choices when they understand the tools of career management, including tools for self-analysis, and are educated about a wide range of career options that fit their skills and interests.
We will give every student and graduate equal access to services and opportunities. We will be a welcoming office, easily accessible to students in-person and electronically.
We are here to support clients in making the best possible choices for themselves.
We are responsible for giving employers clear and easy access to potential employees and interns and educating employers on the skills and training our students and graduates bring to their work.
We have an obligation to continually educate ourselves about professional methods and career management tools and explore new organizations as sources of employment. We are responsible for staying current on changes in the public service career environment and on new ideas in career development.
As part of staying current in the field and understanding stakeholder needs, we will seek appropriate feedback from students, graduates, employers, Humphrey Institute administration and faculty, and colleagues in the career development field.
