The Humphrey School Alumni Board plays a key role in promoting and achieving the mission of the Humphrey School by providing an effective vehicle for alumni involvement. The Alumni Board has a unique position in facilitating the sharing of practitioner-based experience and promoting the Institute among key partners.
The Humphrey School Alumni Society exists to be in service to Institute alumni and to connect them to each other, to the Institute leadership, faculty members, and students.
The society enriches the alumni experience by connecting alumni to Institute programs and knowledge and strengthening their ties to each another, to current students, and to the administration and faculty of the Institute. It provides alumni with opportunities to serve the Institute and Humphrey students through programming, sharing professional expertise, and providing financial support. The society links students with alumni and friends of the Institute, encouraging lifelong relationships with the college and the University.
We fulfill our mission by building relationships among Institute alumni, students, prospective students, faculty members, and friends; facilitating alumni and student activities; supporting the student experience through opportunities for professional growth and scholarship; and promoting excellence within the Institute and among its alumni.
The Humphrey School Alumni Board endorses the Institute's mission statement and strategic goals and further endorses its commitment to diversity. The alumni board commits to maintaining a diverse membership and actively supporting diversity via the Humphrey Alumni Scholars program, mentorships, and other initiatives that connect alumni with students.
The alumni board will help the Humphrey School foster and sustain strong relationships with its alumni and students in order to broaden career and networking opportunities; support students in completing their degrees; and promote excellence in public affairs.
