As a graduate of the Humphrey Institute, I can attest from personal experience that the skills you learn here will be useful and valued anywhere in the world, and with any type of organization with which you choose to work. I had the opportunity to use my Humphrey degree in the field of international affairs and international development in Washington, D.C., Guinea, and Mozambique, before returning to the Institute and becoming director of admissions. Our graduates work in the public, nonprofit, and private sectors on issues ranging from environmental planning for small rural communities to international human rights policy.
Our admissions committee works hard each year to bring in a group of outstanding students who will contribute to the Institute's dynamic and collaborative learning environment. The 175 to 200 students we enroll each year come from all over the United States and world and studied more than 50 different undergraduate majors. More than 80% have had previous work experience. We enjoy getting to know more about you and your career passions through your application. Rest assured, there is no admissions formula - we read each and every application, every letter, and every transcript.
