Humphrey Institute Application Checklist 2009-2010

Application Deadlines: Please note these are postmark deadlines.

Spring Admission MPA Only                                              Thursday, October 15th, 2009

Upload your entire Humphrey Institute Personal Statement into Statement #1 in the applicant’s statement section of the graduate school application

Upload into the “Resume or CV” section of the Graduate School application

Transcripts

Official transcripts sent directly from the institution to the Graduate School; unofficial can be emailed, faxed, or mailed to the Humphrey Institute

GRE Scores, (MPP, MURP, MS-STEP Only)

Upload your personal copy from ETS into the additional materials section of the Graduate School online application

TOEFL Scores, (not applicable for US Citizens, other exceptions apply, please call 612-624-3800 If you think you should be exempt from this requirement)

Upload your personal copy from ETS into the additional materials section of the Graduate School online application

Letters of Recommendation

Preferred: Request online in the Graduate School Application system, if your recommender cannot upload it online they may send it in a sealed envelope signed across the back to the Humphrey Institute

Extenuating Circumstances, if applicable (this can be used to explain a performance that was below what you can achieve)

Upload into “Extenuating Circumstances” section of the Graduate School application

Diversity Statement, (only required for students seeking the DOVE, Diversity of Views and Experiences, fellowship)

Upload  into Statement #3 in the Applicant’s Statement section of the Graduate School application

*

Complete Microeconomics with a B or better (MPP & MSSTEP only)

If the course is not completed before your admission, please send your transcripts to the Humphrey Institute upon completion of the course.
