What do participants need to know before they enter a UMConnect meeting room?

  1. Test Your Computer - Make sure that you have the Flash Player installed and that you have the appropriate Internet connections speed. To test your computer, go to the Meeting Connection Diagnostic page.
  2. Use Headphones Whenever Possible - If participants are joining a webcast that includes both audio and video, we recommend that they wear a headset to get the best experience.
  3. Sign In - Participants can sign in to UMConnect meetings with their U of M Internet ID and password. For those participants who do not have an Internet ID and password, guest access is available. Click on Enter as Guest and type your name into the text box.
  4. Get Help - If participants cannot complete the test successfully or have other questions about UMConnect, support is available by e-mailing umconnect@umn.edu.
  5. If have any questions before or after the chat please email hhhadmit@umn.edu
