BARBARA L. LUKERMANN SERVICE AWARD
Barbara L. Lukermann was a senior fellow and faculty member in the Humphrey Institute’s planning program from 1982 to 2008. She was a member of the planning community in the Twin Cities area for more than 40 years and helped create the Center for Urban and Regional Affairs at the University of Minnesota. The Barbara L. Lukermann Service Award was established in her honor in 2002. This award is awarded annually to students in the master of urban and regional planning program who have made exceptional contributions to the planning community, both within the University and/or within the Twin Cities and Minnesota.
Ms. Lukermann died on March 23, 2009, after a battle with cancer. Memorial gifts are preferred to the Barbara L. Lukermann Service Award. Checks can be made payable to the University of Minnesota Foundation, with "Lukermann Service Award" noted on the memo line, and mailed to:
